In recent years, aquarium cases have been popular for their beautiful appearance, but they often fall short in cooling performance. Global hardware company NZXT has also released several tempered glass aquarium cases to keep up with the trend, but recently, they have made headlines by launching a product that sticks to the basics.
Today, we introduce the NZXT H3 Flow, a microATX form factor computer case known for its high airflow design and easy cable management. Let’s take a closer look at what makes this PC case so appealing.

Design and Exterior Features

The NZXT H3 Flow is a microATX form factor PC case that stands out with its simple yet modern design. The front features an ultra-fine mesh panel to maximize airflow into the computer, and the side uses a tempered glass panel for a clear view of the system’s interior. It is available in two color options: white and black.

One of the most notable design elements of the H3 Flow is the round mesh vent applied to the lower part of the left tempered glass panel. This round mesh panel allows additional airflow to the power supply area and graphics card region at the bottom of the PC case. Unlike traditional rectangular vents, the curved design enables smoother air circulation.

The same mesh design is applied to the lower part of the right panel, allowing for bidirectional ventilation. This symmetrical mesh structure maximizes airflow within the case, effectively dissipating heat around high-performance graphics cards.

The front I/O of the H3 Flow is minimalistic, omitting the standard 3.5mm audio port found in traditional PC cases. With the increasing use of wireless headsets and USB-C audio devices, this design seems to reflect current trends.

The H3 Flow features a magnetic dust filter on the top, which can be easily removed for regular cleaning and maintenance.

Internal Structure and Expandability

The tempered glass panel is made of dark tinted tempered glass, and both side panels are designed for easy removal without tools.

Despite being a microATX PC case, the H3 Flow offers considerable expandability. It supports both Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX form factors, with a maximum graphics card length of 377mm, CPU cooler height of up to 170mm, and power supply length of up to 185mm.

The internal cooling system can be set up as follows, with only one rear 120mm fan provided by default:
Front: 2 x 120mm/140mm fans or up to a 280mm radiator
Top: 2 x 120mm/140mm fans or up to a 240mm radiator
Rear: 1 x 120mm fan (F120Q pre-installed)
Bottom: 2 x 120mm fans

The cable management system of the H3 Flow greatly enhances assembly convenience. It particularly supports back connector motherboards (ASUS BTF, MSI Project Zero), significantly simplifying the traditionally complex cable organization.

With a generous 31.5mm cable routing space, it provides ample room for cable management even with standard motherboards. When used with the numerous cable tie points distributed throughout the case, even beginners can achieve professional-level cable organization with ease.
Drive Bay Configuration

For storage, the case provides one default slot for a 2.5-inch SSD, with space for two more at the bottom, and can accommodate one 3.5-inch HDD. Considering the trend towards large-capacity NVMe SSDs and the limited space of microATX cases, it offers sufficient storage options.
Chassis Thickness and Durability

The H3 Flow boasts robust durability with its SGCC steel material, offering a thickness of 0.75T for the PSU chamber and approximately 0.8T for the motherboard mounting panel and main chassis.
Installation and Cable Management

One of the greatest advantages of the H3 Flow is its ease of installation. The front, top, and side panels can all be removed without tools, and the ample cable routing space reduces the time spent on cable management. The front panel connectors are composed of a single connector, making assembly easy even for beginners.
Conclusion

The NZXT H3 Flow is one of the most reasonably priced cases in the NZXT lineup, focusing on practicality through high airflow design. It retains NZXT’s signature sleek design while perfectly meeting the needs of users who prefer a small form factor but do not want to compromise on performance.
Even with the default fan configuration, it delivers decent cooling performance, but adding a 140mm intake fan to the front can further enhance its performance. It is a highly recommended product for users who prefer a PC case that sticks to the basics rather than flashy aquarium cases.
Lastly, the H3 Flow comes with a generous 2-year warranty. In Korea, Daewon CTS is responsible for official distribution and after-sales service, ensuring quick and reliable support in case of any issues after purchase.
